Stampin' Up! Creative Crew

Well, the cat's out of the proverbial bag, and I can let you know that I am a designer for the SU! Creative Crew at Splitcoaststampers. Great fun! So, what's that? On the demonstrator side of SCS, the challenge program is the Creative Crew. Each month we get a set of challenges to create projects for...and each month EVERYBODY can play along! You do not need to be a demo. It's just that if you are not a demo, you need to see the challenges someplace else...like here!

So here's the September Challenges. Be sure to upload your project on SCS and use the challenge keyword.

READY… SET… SEW! Whether you do “Faux sew,” or machine sew, or hand sew, or “liquid thread” sewing, in honor of September being national sewing month our theme this month is sewing! Remember a “Fat Quarter is not a body part!”

CCREW0912DF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- DSP/Color Focus: Comfort Cafe, the DSP or just the colors from the that DSP

CCREW0912CF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Catalog focus: Piercing Pack, Fabric Adhesive, Adhesive Sheets, Anything that might be remoting sewing related!

CCREW0912HF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Holiday focus: How about "anything autumn?" This could include colors, holidays, autumn birthdays, "anything"

CCREW0912SF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Scrapbook focus: Well it's apple season, how about an apple inspired recipe for a perfect page? If you're new to a "recipe challenge" I hope you'll find it a fun twist! This has nothing to do with food recipes (of course you could use food recipes if you’re doing a recipe/traditions album) it’s more about being given a list of "ingredients" that you need to use to make a new, unique, fun page that may take you out of your scrapbook comfort zone! (See my sample below)
For me to design this challenge it's easiet for me to find a photo or a true food recipe and creatively morph it into a list of scrapbook ingredients for you to use to make a page.
Looks yummy doesn't it?
Ingredient list:
A round layer - the traditional shape of a dumpling
Pacific Point - the plate
More Mustard - the crust
Old Olive - the apple
Stitching - faux, ditigal, or real - the seams of the dumpling
One photo - that's right just one A tag or die cut - for your journaling
A button or buttons - use as you want, BUT one must be on your title!
Your choice of theme, you may add more to the recipe (colors, embellishments, etc) but you must use the main ingredients.
